The Executive

Roderick Schneider – President ylnppresident@lnpqld.org.au

Roderick joined the Liberal Party in 2001, where he became Chair of the Toowoomba South branch.  He served three years as the Groom FEC Vice-Chair and regularly represented Groom at Liberal Party State Council.

In 2006 he established the Groom Young Liberals, an achievement recognised in his promotion to Vice President of the Queensland Young Liberals in 2008. Prior to merger, he served as an Executive Member from the Floor of the Queensland Liberal Party State Council. He was an active member of the Mt Coot-tha State campaign in 2009, three Federal election campaigns in Groom, and Cr Andrew Wines’ successful campaign in 2008.

Roderick graduated from USQ with a Bachelor of Commerce, and is in the final year of his Masters of Business.  Roderick has been the on the Young LNP Executive since its inauguration, and is committed to creating an efficient organisation to help win government in Queensland.

Kylie Hart – Vice President ylnpvp@lnpqld.org.au

Kylie has been a member of the Young LNP/Liberal Party since 2001. She is currently Chair of the Gold Coast Young LNP and the Secretary of the Moncrieff FDC. Kylie was a Campaign Director in the 2009 Queensland State Election and a Campaign Liaison Officer for the Gold Coast region during the 2007 Federal Election. Most recently, Kylie was Convenor for the 2009 Young LNP Convention and was a delegate to the Federal Young Liberal Convention in Canberra.

Tommy Brennan – Secretary ylnpsecretary@lnpqld.org.au

Tommy is a student at the University of Queensland studying a dual degree in Science and Law as well as working part time in IT support for the Winson Group. He is currently Policy Coordinator for the University of Queensland Liberal Club and managing the Sir Jim Killen Public Speaking Competition. Tommy has been a major help to his local candidates in their respective Federal, State and Council campaigns and likewise campaigned strongly for the Fresh ticket in the UQ student union elections. In the last few years, Tommy has been a branch Treasurer and a member of former Young Liberal Executive Council.

Suzie is the PR Industry Consultant for the University of Queensland’s School of Journalism and Communication.  Suzie has degrees in Education, and Public Relations.  She now lectures in issues management and crisis communication, media relations and public relations making her ideal for an Executive role in that area.  In the former National Party, Suzie served on both the Education and Environmental Committee and was a member of the Young Nationals Central Council.  Suzie is a member of the Brisbane Central branch.

Mitch Redford – Policy & Campaigns Director ylnppolicy@lnpqld.org.au

Mitch has worked and volunteered in politics for the past four years. In addition to working on four interstate campaigns and two Queensland campaigns, in the recent election he successfully worked as Campaign Director in Redlands, an LNP gain with double the State swing.  He now works in the Campaigns division of the LNP. After serving as Secretary, he was now Chairman of the Bowman branch; which has doubled in size during his two terms as Chair.
